A music hub and cafe once nestled in the heart of Burleigh Heads. It once ran free community dig meetups, a SoundCloud radio built on vinyl-only mixes from local selectors, and evening events that brought international guests to a stretch of coast that doesn't usually see them.
Outer Bound was a sanctuary for a music community that had been waiting for somewhere to land on the Gold Coast. The brick-and-mortar space has since closed, and the last dance happened beneath its white arches. But the events and spaces that have since taken root across the Gold Coast and surrounds all trace a line back through those arches.
